Yeah, I know. There is no such word as “un-content”. I just think it describes better the state of mind we can often find ourselves in. Because to know God and love Jesus Christ gives us a contentment that is beyond description, right? Somehow, I can find myself moving away from that contentment – and becoming therefore, “un-content”. See what I mean? Dis-content makes it sound like we’ve never BEEN content. Ok. I’ll stop. You get my point.
The world is filled with ways to deal with our “UN’s”; Unsatisfied, Unstable, Unhappy, Unlikable, Unethical, Unbecoming, or Uncanny (just think, Andy Lambert). The problem is, though, that what the world tries to give us to solve our “Uns” will often lead us to destructive and even catastrophic ends. Unsatisfied? Try these pills – they will take the edge off and make you feel better. Unhappy? We have special foods for that! Unlikable? Well here is a host of hair products, skin lotions and clothing that will make everyone adore you. Look younger, feel younger – you are worth it!! On and on it goes.
But we have the Good News. What the world tries to lure us into in order to fix our “UNs”, the Gospel delivers an entire restoration; from the soul - outward! Consider: “The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

I pray you all will remember always the Lord has a far better, richer, more complete solution to all of our “UNs” – and ONLY He can do something no other can: He’ll turn your “UNs” to “Ins”: IN-credible, IN-comprehensible love, IN-partial forgiveness, IN-satiable grace.
Be filled with this and watch how we become “IN-fectious” in sharing the best News Ever!! God loves us and will supply everything we could possibly need or want.
